  1. Rewarding and Recognition Schemes for Driving, Procurement and Maintenance Reward and Recognition Schemes for Energy Conserving Driving, Vehicle procurement and maintenanceRECODRIVE Contract: EIE/07/204/SI2.466848 Duration 1.10.2007-31.3.2010 Slides created July 2008

  2. Rewarding and Recognition Schemes for Driving, Procurement and Maintenance Project Summary • EU-Sponsored STEER Project – Contact EACI • RECODRIVE “Reward and Recognition Schemes for Energy COnserving DRIving, VEhicle procurement and maintenance” • Aims • Taking up existing Ecodriving initiatives and merging them with good fleet management practice and logistics optimization practice to push fuel saving in fleets beyond 10% • Use demonstrators with high mileage and/or high specific consumption fleets to disseminate best practice • Duration 30 months, started Oct. 2007 • 10 Partners from all over Europe, active in 9 countries • Budget 1.2 Mio. € • Led by FGM-AMOR

  3. Objectives Fleet internal and outbound actions to reduce the energy intensity in transport. Focus on operation, maintenance of vehicles and planning of the same. Demonstrate reward and recognition measures for staff to raise Ecodriving savings and stabilise them on high level Penetrate knowledge on sustainable fleet management amongst stakeholders Establish an audit system for energy efficient fleet operation in fleet management business, taking up elements from the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme, EMAS Main Steps WP2 Framework analysis will prepare the ground for a knowledgeable specification of the measures WP3 Materials and set up of the demonstrations will produce audit schemes for energy related processes like procurement, driver training and fuel management WP4 Demonstrators will validate measures in approximately 20 demonstrators WP5 Evaluation and policy formulation will specify and implement the evaluation WP6 Networking and dissemination will ensure targets awareness raising for the project and networking Rewarding and Recognition Schemes for Driving, Procurement and Maintenance Objectives and Main Steps

  4. Expected Results • Energy conservation experts will be trained • Assisting procurement departments in specifying vehicles, • Drivers applying ECODRIVING • Workshop employees servicing vehicles (tire pressure, air and fuel filter etc.). • Energy Controlling will be introduced in approx. 20 fleets • Validating the savings • Target to stay above -10% on a long term basis
