  1. Lab Report & Viva voce: March 20-30, 2006. Detailed time table is given below. All experiments to be completed by March 16. Equal weightage for viva and lab report (10+10). Total 60 marks with 20% weightage in the final marks. Duration of viva ~ 40 min. Submit Lab reports during viva voce.

  2. Lab Report • 7 pages in the RESEARCH JOURNAL FORMAT. • The first page of the report should give the title of the experiment and the full name and matriculation number of the author. • An abstract consisting of ~100 words should be given at the beginning. • The Report should consist of the following sections: • Introduction (brief review and the purpose of the experiment) • Basic principles and/or theory • Experimental procedures and precautions • Results and discussion • Conclusions • References

  3. The report must be printed in Times Roman font size of 12pt, 1.5-space on one side of good-quality white A4 paper, with margins of at least one inch on all sides. • Figures and tables should be inserted in proper places in the report. • Original printouts of the experimental results must be submitted along with the report. These are not included in the 7 pages prescribed for the report.
