Artists Alley Sarasota Art Gallery Review

http://www.ArtistsAlleySarasota.com Artists Alley Sarasota Art Gallery Review. So why write this review? Well when researching the topic there was a lack of information concerning the Artists Alley Sarasota art and craft gallery. Currently the business is in a startup stage with a target date of a grand opening before the Christmas holidays of this year 2016. Because the company is interested in the business of art it is imperative to walk a fine line between art that sells and “art for art’s sake.” As both co-founders become art gallery owners, the founders Janet Day and Lloyd Dobson will be analyzing quality artworks and simultaneously running a retail business, two disciplines that may seem contrary to one another. At its most basic level, art is something physical that influences people emotionally. But for the gallery to succeed as an art gallery business, the emotional impact of the art in their gallery should also motivate people to buy. So what is Artists Alley Sarasota about? * A gallery for fine art from quality local artists at affordable prices. * Turning the first time buyer into a collector. * Supporting the shop local initiative - Made in America! * Opening December, 2016 * Submission / Interviews for inclusion in the gallery will be in October through November. * Space is limited ($25 per running feet & 30% commission) * Marketing by gallery for artist artwork. * Email artistsalleysarasota@gmail.com Which is more difficult, creating the art or selling it? Every artist would have a different answer to this question, but I suspect that a majority of artists feel it’s much easier to create art than it is to sell it. And this is the reason for the 30% commission. Now all an artist needs to do is create their art. Artists Alley Sarasota will now take over the marketing and selling of the art.

  2. So why write this review? Well when researching the topic there was a lack of information concerning the Artists Alley Sarasota art and craft gallery. Currently the business is in a startup stage with a target date of a grand opening before the Christmas holidays of this year 2016.

  3. We Are Currently Looking For Qualified Artist To Represent In Our Gallery!

  4. Because the company is interested in the business of art it is imperative to walk a fine line between art that sells and “art for art’s sake.” In learning how to become an art gallery owner, the founders Janet Day and Lloyd Dobson will be analyzing quality artworks and simultaneously running a retail business, two disciplines that may seem contrary to one another.

  5. At its most basic level, art is something physical that influences people emotionally. But for the gallery to succeed as an art gallery business, the emotional impact of the art in their gallery should also motivate people to buy.

  6. So what is Artists Alley Sarasota about? * A gallery for fine art from quality local artists at affordable prices. * Turning the first time buyer into a collector. * Supporting the shop local initiative - Made in America! * Opening December, 2016 or Before

  7. * Submission / Interviews for inclusion in the gallery will be in October through November. * Space is limited ($25 per running feet & 30% commission) * Marketing by gallery for artist artwork. * Email artistsalleysarasota@gmail.com

  8. Which is more difficult, creating the art or selling it? Every artist would have a different answer to this question, but I suspect that a majority of artists feel it’s much easier to create art than it is to sell it.

  9. And this is the reason for the 30% commission. Now all an artist needs to do is create their art. Artists Alley Sarasota will now take over the marketing and selling of the art. This is the reason the founders are launching Artists Alley Sarasota!

  10. When you sell the work your self you’ve done all of the work and you earn the full $1,000 value as an example. If a gallery has sold the work for you and you were charged 30%, in essence you have hired them to take over the marketing, sales, and customer service for you.

  11. Most galleries charge 50% commission! Now, all you have to do is figure out how much value you can create per hour in the studio, vs. how long it takes you to sell a piece of art yourself. If you generate more value in the studio than selling, you should be working toward finding galleries to take over the sales for you.

  12. I have met many artists over the years who are born salespeople as well as great artists. If you, like them, find it easy, fun, and exciting to sell, then securing gallery representation is not going to be your highest priority.

  13. Again, if that were all the math you had to do, this would, I think, be a pretty easy decision. There are other variables to consider, however

  14. Not all galleries are created equal. Some galleries work hard to earn their commission. They actively promote their artists and engage their buyers. This describes the marketing efforts of Artists Alley Sarasota. The founders have a combined years of over 70 years of successful sales and marketing experience.

  15. Other galleries seem to take the spider approach by opening their doors and waiting for buyers to get caught in their web. Sometimes fate smiles on the second type of gallery and they sell well due to their location or

  16. some other combination of factors, but you are far more likely to be successful in a gallery that’s hard at work. In other words, you want to work with galleries that earn their commission. This again describes Artists Alley Sarasota.
