Surat Al-Alaq • Memorisation aim: The first 8 ayas of Surat Al-Alaq • Focus on: The first verses revealed to Prophet Mohammed (s). • Creation of the human beings. • - Return to Allah (swt). • Surat Al-Fajr • Memorisation aim: The first 14 ayas of Surat Al-Fajr • - Focus on: Brief study of people of Ad • - Brief study of people of Thamud • Story of Pharaoh • Surat At-Tin • Memorisation aim: Surat At-Tin completely • Focus on: Doing good deeds • Helping each other • Surat Ad-Dhuha • Memorisation aim: Surat Ad-Dhuha completely • - Focus on: Story of Prophet Muhammad (s) • - Thanking Allah for His blessings • Each class will involve the following three aspects of quranic learning: • Memorisation: One or more ayas each week in class and at home. • Tafseer: Brief explanation of ayas through story telling, visual aids, activities, work sheets, games and discussion. • Rules: Following the rules of Quran reading such as, pronunciation of each letter correctly. • We will follow a routine every class including saying Salam, reciting surat Al Fatiha together, doing wudhu and taking out the Quran respectfully.
