Recycle Rewards Program History • Program became effective June 1, 2012. • Every resident received a new blue recycle bin with an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chip. • Each time the bin is placed by the curb, a device in the truck records recycling frequency. • To participate in the program residents may register by calling 888-234-8211 or going to www.wasteprorewards.com. • Discounts are available to ALL residents, however, those that recycle more often receive the greater rewards. • Quarterly drawings for larger prizes are funded by Waste Pro Rewards and prizes may vary.

  4. Recycling Participation PALM COAST RECYCLING PARICIPATION • Approximately 60% of Palm Coast households recycle. WASTEPRO REWARDS PROGRAM PARTICIPATION • With just six months into the program, Palm Coast has one of the highest participation rates in the country with 25.3% or 8237 of 32,600 households participating! • According to Rewards for Recycling, of the 37+ cities that have the same or similar recycling rewards programs, the first six months average a 12-13% participation rate.
