DISCRETIONARY GRANTS REQUIREMENTS • The name of the company and its registration number; • The Directors of the Company and share certificates; • The geographic location of the company, listing all its branches; • The products and services of the company; • The size of the company in terms of the annual turn-over; • The company registration number in terms of the Treasury Central Supplier Database;

  11. DISCRETIONARY GRANTS REQUIREMENTS • A declaration of interest for directors and possible relationships with Board members and management of the MICT SETA; • The capacity of the company to fulfil the programme.

  12. DISCRETIONARY GRANTS REQUIREMENTS • The programmes that were undertaken by the company in the past; • CSD report of applicants; • Valid Tax Clearance certificate; • B-BBEE Certificate (or affidavit for SMEs); and • Letter of Commitment to Employ on completion of the programme.

  15. PRIORITY SKILLS LIST Confirms shortage of qualified South Africans in listed occupations. Basis for importing listed skills (DHA VISA applications approvals). Critical need to develop and submit an accurate list.

  31. SARS TAX RELIEF • Employers can apply for Tax relief to SARS for hosting learners on Learnerships • SARS Tax rebates for Learnerships: • Employed learners - up to R40 000 allowance(R20 000 at commencement and R20 000 at completion) • Unemployed learners - up to R60 000 allowance(R30 000 at commencement and R30 000 at completion) • Disabled learners up to R100 000 allowance(R50 000 at commencement and R50 000 at completion)

  35. The Establishment and Mandate of the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) BACKGROUND

  36. Skills Development Providers' (SDPs) application to QCTO for historically registered FULL qualifications as from 1st July 2018: SDPs submit LOIsto the QCTO; QCTO sends acknowledgment to SDP and the MICT SETA; MICT SETA sends requirements of accreditation; MICT SETA facilitates accreditation process until the last stage; and QCTO processes letters of accreditation and sends them tothe MICT SETA, SDPs and the DHET. NEW ACCREDITATION APPLICATION PROCESS

  37. QCTO conducts monitoring visits of the accredited Skills Development Providers; QAPs submits database of accredited SDPs; QCTO samplesand conducts monitoring. MONITORING OF SDPs BY QCTO

  38. Re-registration of Historically Registered Qualifications; Re-alignment of Historically Registered Qualifications; Development of NewOccupational Qualifications. RE-REGISTRATION, RE-ALIGNMENT & DEVELOPMENT OF OCCUPATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
