  1. WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF T8 LED TUBE LIGHTS? T8 LED tubes based on appearance: Frosted Frosted: Frosted T8 tubes offer a filtered and soft lighting effect. These lights are suitable for indoor spaces that don’t need very-bright lighting. Clear: You’ll be able to see the LED chips inside a clear tube. These are excellent for indoor spaces that need bright and unfiltered lighting. T8 LED tubes based on LED-chip arrangement: Single-Row LED Tubes: These tubes come with one long LED strip. Double-Row LED Tubes: These tubes have two LED strips. They are ideal for heavy-duty residential and commercial lighting projects. V-Shape LED Tubes: The two LED chips on these tubes forma v-shape. Placing the LED chips in v-shape increases the beam angle and coverage area of a T8 LED bulb. T8 Light bulbs based on power Supply: Single-ended T8 LED Bulbs: The live and neutral wires connect to a single end of these tube lights. Double-ended T8 LED Bulbs: Double-ended tubes need a power supply from both the ends: live wire on one side and neutral on the other. N LED Tube L Single-ended LED Tube L N Clear Double-ended T8 Tubes based on Installation: Type A:these are also known as ‘direct-fit’ or ‘retrofit’ tubes. They work with fluorescent tube ballasts. You can install them in place of any existing fluorescent tube, without following any wiring procedure. Type B: Also known as ‘ballast-bypass’ tubes, these tubes use an LED driver rather than a ballast. You’ll have to remove the existing fluorescent tube ballast before installing a Type B LED tube. Type C: These T8 LED tubes are also known as ‘Hybrid Tubes.’ You can use them with or without a ballast. Choosing the right tube lighting fixture is not an easy choice, but with this guide's help, you have enough knowledge to shop for all the variety of LED tubes you want. Ledmyplace
