  2. READ: ZECHARIAH 5:1-2 1 I turned and raised my eyes and I saw there a flying scroll. 2 He said to me, What do you see? I answered, I see a flying scroll. Its length is twenty cubits and its width ten cubits.

  4. WHAT IS A SCROLL? SCROLL (ROLL) A ROLL OF PAPYRUS, LEATHER OR PARCHMENT USED FOR WRITING A DOCUMENT OR A BOOK IN ANCIENT TIMES THIS IS WHAT THE SCRIBES WROTE ON THE WORD SCROLL IS USED ONLY IN EZRA - PSALMS - ISAIAH - JEREMIAH EZEKIEL - ZECHARIAH - REVELATION MOST OFTEN REFERRED TO AS A BOOK

  5. QUESTIONS: ZECHARIAH 5:1-2 WHAT WAS WRITTEN ON THE SCROLLS? READ: EZRA 6:2-3 2 At Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of Media, a scroll was foundandin it a record was written thus: 3 In the first year of King Cyrus, King Cyrus issued a decree concerning the house of God at Jerusalem: Let the house be rebuilt, the place where they offered sacrifices; and let the foundations of it be firmly laid, its height sixty cubits and its width sixty cubits, READ: JEREMIAH 36:1-2 1 In the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, that this word came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying: 2 Take a scroll of a book and write on it all the words that I have spoken to you against Israel, against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spoke to you, from the days of Josiah even to this day. (NKJ) DID THIS APPLY TO ALL NATIONS?

(NKJ) READ: REVELATION 5:1 1 I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the thronea scroll written inside and on the back, sealed with seven seals. (NKJ)

A thousand thousands ministered to Him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened. (NKJ) READ: DANIEL 9:2 2 In the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem. (NKJ) READ: REVELATION 20:12 12 I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. The dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. (NKJ)

READ: ZECHARIAH 5:3-4 3 He said to me, This is the curse that goes out over the face of the whole earth: Every thief shall be expelled, according to this side of the scroll; and, Every perjurer shall be expelled,' according to that side of it. 4 I will send out the curse, says the LORD of hosts; It shall enter the house of the thief and the house of the one who swears falsely by My name. It shall remain in the midst of his house and consume it, with its timber and stones.

  11. QUESTIONS: ZECHARIAH 5:3-4 WHAT WAS WRITTEN? READ: EXODUS 32:15-16 15 Moses turned and went down from the mountain, and the two tablets of the Testimony were in his hand. The tablets were written on both sides; on the one side and on the other they were written. 16 The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God engraved on the tablets. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 But showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments.

Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. 12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the LORD your God is giving you.

WHY ONLY THE THIEF AND THE PERJURER? READ: EXODUS 20:15-16 15 You shall not steal. 16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. READ: JAMES 2:10 10 Whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. (NKJ)

READ: DEUTERONOMY 27:26 26 Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law. And all the people shall say, Amen! (NKJ) READ: PROVERBS 3:33 33 The curse of the LORDis on the house of the wicked, but He blessesthe home of the just. (NKJ)

  17. QUESTIONS: ZECHARIAH 5:3-4 WHAT WILL THE WORD OF THE LORD ACCOMPLISH? READ: ISAIAH 55:11 11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (NKJ) READ: HEBREWS 4:12-13 12 The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 There is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

He also said, This is their resemblance throughout the earth: 7 Here is a lead disc lifted up, and this is a woman sitting inside the basket; READ THE KING JAMES VERSION

  21. QUESTIONS: ZECHARIAH 5:5-7 WHAT DOES THIS BASKET REPRESENT? A BASKET IS USED TO MEASURE DRY GOODS READ: MICAH 6:10-11 10 Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the short measure that is an abomination? 11 Shall I count pure those with the wicked scales, and with the bag of deceitful weights? (NKJ) READ: AMOS 8:4-6 4 Hear this, you who swallow up the needy, and make the poor of the land fail, 5 Saying: When will the New Moon be past, that we may sell grain? And the Sabbath, that we may trade wheat? Making the ephahsmall and the shekellarge, Falsifying the scales by deceit, 6 That we may buy the poorfor silver, and the needyfor a pair of sandals-- even sell the bad wheat? (NKJ)

  22. QUESTIONS: ZECHARIAH 5:5-7 WHAT WAS BELSHAZZAR’S DREAM? READ: DANIEL 5:26-28 26 This is the interpretation of each word. MENE: God has numbered your kingdom, and finished it; 27 TEKEL: You have been weighed in the balances, and found wanting; 28 PERES: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians. (NKJ) WHAT HAPPENED TO BELSHAZZAR?

He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth. 7 And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a womanthat sits in the midst of the ephah. (KJV) AN EPHAH IS A BASKET AN EPHAH IS THE LARGEST UNIT OF DRY MEASURE EPHAH = 10 OMERS = 1 BUSHEL A TALENT IS THE LARGEST UNIT OF MEASURE BY WEIGHT TALENT = 3000 SHEKELS = 125 POUNDS

READ: PROVERBS 5:1-7 1 My son, pay attention to my wisdom; lend your ear to my understanding, 2 That you may preserve discretion, and your lips may keep knowledge. 3 For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil; 4 But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword. 5 Her feet go down to death, her steps lay hold of hell. 6 Lest you ponder her path of life-- her ways are unstable; you do not know them. 7 Therefore hear me now, my children, and do not depart from the words of my mouth.
