  2. Synopsis Stijn van Diepen (Komt een vrouw bij de dokter) is terug: 55 jaar oud, maar niet veel wijzer. Hij besluit op zoek te gaan naar zichzelf, zijn roots en de Ware. Nu echt. Achttien jaar nadat zijn vrouw Carmen is overleden en zeven jaar nadat zijn huwelijk met Roos op de klippen is gelopen, blijkt ook de zoveelste nieuwe liefde van Stijn van Diepen niet de ware te zijn. Terwijl hij nog altijd van feest naar feest strompelt, wordt zijn moeder met alzheimer in een verzorgingstehuis opgenomen, dreigt zijn beste vriend Frenk hem te laten vallen en moet hij de verjaardag van zijn dochter Luna, die eenentwintig wordt, organiseren. Een crisis lijkt onvermijdelijk. Waarom is zijn (liefdes)leven zo'n puinhoop? Het is tijd om eens grondig in de spiegel te kijken. In een hilarische en ontroerende zoektocht naar zichzelf keert Stijn terug naar zijn jeugd in Noord-Brabant, stuit hij op een aangrijpende familiegeschiedenis en belandt uiteindelijk op het Ierse platteland in een ultieme poging antwoorden te vinden op zijn vragen.
