Key Achievements • RSO launch on 10 September 2012. • RSO web site link from the Bali Process site. • US Government Funding for one of the Foundation Projects: REGIONAL ROUNDTABLE ON IRREGULAR MIGRATION BY SEA IN THE ASIA-PACIFIC REGION 18-20 March 2013. • Three of the four Foundation Projects are well advanced.

Regional Roundtable on Irregular Movements by Sea • Pilot study on information exchange and data analysis on irregular migration by sea • Mapping and analyzing the protection situation of unaccompanied and separated children in South East Asia

  5. Additional approved activities: • The Roster of Experts on Migration Management • Network of RSO National Focal Points • Way Forward resulted from the 7th Meeting of Bali Process Ad-Hoc Group Senior Officials, Sydney, Australia, 5th March 2013, • To develop Policy Guides to assist policy makers and practitioners in implementing international obligations under the UN Conventions Against Transnational Organized Crime and its protocols on migrant smuggling and trafficking in persons, and • To raise public awareness on Bali Process activities through information campaigns and by promoting broader public engagement including through the media.

  6. Regional Roundtable on Irregular Migration by Sea • Co-hosted by the Government of Indonesia and UNHCR in Jakarta from 18 - 20 March 2013. • Aims to provide a forum for dialogue among interested governments and international organizations on practical approaches to irregular movements by sea. • Questionnaire circulated to the Ad Hoc Group to guide process of finalizing agenda by seeking feedback on key issues of interest. • Expected recommendations that are combining policy oriented experiences with practical cooperative arrangements from speakers and liable participants from various interested governments and international organizations.
