E-Strategy Group(Standards) April 2002 • Network Services - Network Directory Services • Protocol - X.500 • Support of LDAP version 3. • IP based Domain Naming System • Support for Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates (X.509) • Microsoft Active Directory • Justification • Active Directory is the native directory for Windows 2000 network. A metadirectory will be used to tie Active Directory with other directories in the State. HE PKI Summit 2002

E-Strategy Group(Standards) April 2002 • Application Development Platforms • Approved Standard(s): • Java 2 Enterprise Edition • Microsoft .NET • Justification • State of Georgia Enterprise Architecture is a service-based architecture dependent upon the web services protocol. • At present only Java 2 Enterprise Edition and Microsoft .NET development platforms support web services for communication.   10. Bumps in the Road • July 12, 2002 - GTA seeks new Proposals • Due to prospects of MCI WorldCom, Inc., one of two bidders on the project known as the Converged Communications Outsourcing Project (CCOP) • So… PKI still down the road… HE PKI Summit 2002
