  3. Spiritual leader • Dueteronomy: 6:4-7 “Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, The Lord is one! You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.

  4. SPIRITUAL LEADER • TEACH THE WORD • SPIRITUAL ROUTINE • YOU’RE THE SHEPHERD OF THE HOME

  5. GODLY HUSBAND EPHESIANS 5:25 “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her Colossians 3:19 “Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them”

  6. Godly Husband • Your children must see the union between mom and dad • Your children must learn to honor her by your actions • She is your “helpmate” not substitute

  7. Source of Protection • Ephesians 6:12-13 “for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm”

  8. SOURCE OF PROTECTION • Our struggle is NOT with flesh and blood • Monitor the sources of entertainment • The influences must be controlled by DAD

  9. SOURCE OF DISCIPLINE • Proverbs 13:24 “He who withholds his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him diligently.” Ephesians 6:4 “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the fear and admonition of the Lord”

  10. SOURCE OF DISCIPLINE • Teach what is acceptable behavior • Get to the “HEART” of the subject • There must be Godly correction from DAD

  11. SOURCE OF Provision • Proverbs 6:6 “Go to the ant O sluggard, Observe her ways and be wise Proverbs 21:25 “The desire of the sluggard puts him to death, For his hands refuse to work”

  12. SOURCE OF Provision • Making sure the family is provided for financially • Teaching your kids the meaning of “hard work” • Teach them to work “as unto the LORD”

  14. FATHERS ANSWERING THE CALL Our Goals for today: • Remind us all of the drastic need for True Christian Dad’s our homes • Encourage you because it’s no one else’s job!

  15. FATHERS ANSWERING THE CALL In 1960 roughly 8,000,000 children lived in homes without a father. Today the number is roughly 25,000,000 Nearly 4 out of 10 children are being raised in homes without fathers

  16. FATHERS ANSWERING THE CALL 75% of American children living in fatherless households will experience poverty before age of eleven, compared to only 20% of those raised by two parents. Children who live in home where fathers are absent are far more likely to be expelled from or drop out of school, develop emotional or behavioral problems, commit suicide, and fall victim to child abuse of neglect.

  17. FATHERS ANSWERING THE CALL Men who grew up without dads currently represent 70% of the prison population serving long-term sentences. OUR HOMES NEED FATHERS!!!!
