  2. 1920’S • In the 1920’s, American engineer, Philo Taylor Farnsworth devised the television camera.

  3. 1950 • Charles Ginsburg was the lead of studies with Ampex, who created the first audio recorder in 1950.

  4. 1951 • In 1951, the VTR captured live images by transferring information into electrical impulses and saving the information onto magnetic tape.

  5. 1956 • In 1956 the first VTR was sold for 50,000 dollars.

  6. 1957 • Sony sold the first VcasseteR in 1957.

  7. 1976 • In 1976, VHS films were created in order to film movies and documentary.

  8. 1981 • In 1981, the first digital recorder or still video recorder was devised by Sony

  9. History of Animation.

  10. 1908 • The first animated film ever to be created by drawing cartoons on a chalk board and taking many pictures was, “Fantasmagorie.”

  11. 1913 • In 1913 celluloid was invented which made animation much less labor intensive.

  12. 1928 • In 1928 Walt Disney made his debut with, “ Steamboat Willy,” making history being the first ever animated film to include sound.

  13. The Aid of Computers. • With the invention of computers, animation took a whole new meaning. Many of the cartoons made under the aid of computers have smoother transitions in the moving phases of the film. They accomplish this by adding special effects to the film, one of the first examples of this was, “ Star Wars.”

  16. Early Version of Video Camera’s. The RCA CAM was one of the first video camera’s used to record TV shows and movies in black and white . The RCA 4K CAM was one of the first known color TV production camera’s.

  17. First Handheld Video Recorder. The first handheld video camera known was the RCA CC.
