  1. 2009-2010 MHS Dress Code

  2. Dress Code • The following is the dress code for students attending McKenzie High School. • The principal reserves the right to require students to change ANY clothing that violates the intention of the dress code or is deemed a distraction to others whether or not it is specifically listed.

  3. All shirts will have a t-shirt/crew neckline

  4. Shirts will come to at least the top of the pocket and no lower than the bottom of the pocket

  5. No holes or faux holes allowed

  6. Skirts/shorts/dresses will be knee length or longer

  7. NO SAGGING PANTSPants will be worn at the natural waistline

  8. Compression wear will NOT be worn as an outer garment

  9. Students will not wear clothing that is backless, see through, or shows the midriff.

  10. Hairstyles and hair color that is nontraditional and causes a distraction will not be allowed.

  11. Other provisions • No sleeveless • No clothing advertising any of the following: • Death/Suicide • Drugs/Alcohol • Violence • Sex • Satanic Worship/Occult • No caps, bandanas, picks, combs, sunglasses, or hats • Body piercing limited to ears

  12. Consequences • Students will be required to change and will not return to class until having done so. • If more than 30 minutes of class is missed students will be charged with an absence, for less than 30 minutes missed students will be charged with a tardy.

  13. Consequences • 1st offense: warning/write-up/parent letter sent home • 2nd offense: 1 hour detention/parent meeting • 3rd offense: 2- 1 hour detentions • 4th offense: 3 days ISS
