Update on Information Literacy Core Competencies Development (January 2010)

This status report details the progress on the Information Literacy (IL) competencies as of January 11-15, 2010. The IL rubric has been completed and revisions for the English 102 document are finalized. Input has been gathered from library faculty, and the rubric has been piloted in eight sections of English 102 during Fall 2009, with results currently under review. The IL rubric will be implemented in ten sections of English 102 in Spring 2010. We are exploring external assessment tools such as IRIS and TILT to enhance our evaluation process.
