Jagdish (Jay) NarayanDistinguished Chair Professor North Carolina State University • Primary Research Interest: • Primary Broader Impact Activity: • Interests in New Collaborations: • Novel thin film heterostructures of Oxides such as VO2, TiO2, ZnO integrated with silicon and sapphire with critical components: Pulsed laser deposition and laser MBE; HRTEM, STEM-Z, XRD, electrical, optical and magnetic measurements; Structure-property correlations and modeling and Devices. • Close research collaboration with ORNL and Kopin Corporation; NCA&T and Shaw universities for research and educational training; Launching of MS in Nanoengineering (through NCSU Engineering Online) Program; Training of High School Seniors through ASM Summer Programs • In-situ X-ray diffraction, MFM measurements, Atomic resolution TEM and STEM-Z-facilities at NCSU and other electrical and optical characterization facilities.
