  4. Day 1-Major Challenges • Design and Construct a Concrete Beam: • 8 feet long • 1/10th cubic yard of concrete • Our design: • 6” width x 8” height x 96” length (as required)

  5. Day 2- Major Challenges • Moving Water Uphill: • Move 250 Gallons • Three large hoses, 4 small hoses, 1 red SOLO cup • Water Balloon Trebuchet: • Ideally launches over 100 feet

  6. Day 3- Major Challenges • Storm Water Basin: • Design and Construct a Storm Water Basin that would drain the maximum amount of water in 15 minutes • Deductions were taken for erosion

  7. Day 4- Major Challenges • Cardboard AAV (Amphibious Assault Vehicle) • Supplies: (4) 4’x8’ corrugated cardboard sheets, (1) 90yd x 2ft roll of cellophane wrap, (1) 6inx90yd roll of cellophane wrap, (1) roll of duct tape, (1) exact-o knife • Challenge: paddle it across the pool and back three times

  8. Day 5- Major Challenges • Concrete Beam Destruction: • Driven over by a Humvee (approx. 4 tons) • Driven over by MRAP (approx. 7 tons)

  9. Fun Events • Ultimate Frisbee Tournament • Beach Volleyball Tournament • Bowling Tournament • Demo Range Observation • Beach Day • Free Swim • (Any Meal Time)
