According to GB and US CIMIC is defined as • The relationship of interaction, cooperation and coordination, mutual support, joint planning, and constant exchange of information at all levels between military force structures, civilian organizations and agencies, and in-theatre civil influences, which are necessary to achieve an effective response (according to agreed objectives) in crisis operations (Gordon, 2001).
