  7. What are the rules to help you correctly apply them?

  8. Rule 1 short adjectives, add –er at the end of the adjective+ than. The blue car is smaller than the red car. I am older than you. • Rule 2 adjective ends with a –y, change it to –i and add –er +than English is easier than maths. My brother is funnier than my sister. • Rule 3 adjective ends in one vowel + consonant, double the consanant and add –er+ than James is fatter than Steven. Dubai is hotter than London. • Rule 4 Compare 2 things or people using long words, we add more + adjective + than. Rome is more beautiful than Paris . Museums are more interesting than art galleries.
