  2. TundraGeography & Climate • Location- above the tree line towards the north pole • Description-very cold least inhabited place by humans • Soil type- frozen soil or permafrost • Temperature-40 in the summer ad -25 in the winter • Climate-snowy and very cold

  3. TundraBiodiversity • Plant species- Sedges, grasses, dwarf shrubs, wildflowers ,mosses, and lichens • Animal Species-Arctic hare, musk oxen ,lemmings, arctic ground squirrels,and ptarmigan. • There are about 90 species!!!!!

  4. TundraAdaptations Needed for Survival • Plant-they changed to fit that life • Animal-they changed to fit that life

  5. TundraInteractions of Biotic and Abiotic • Biotic-Animals and insects • Abiotic- Snow , wind ,rocks ,mountains ,and grass

  6. What is Biodiversity? • A range of organismsin an environment

  7. How does biodiversity contribute to the sustainability of an ecosystem? It keeps it living and so there is a enough food for a number of a certain species if the species keeps growing the sustainability will keep it at a stand still.
