Medi-Cal EHR Incentive Program

Starting in 2011, eligible Medi-Cal providers have the opportunity to earn up to $63,000 over six years through the EHR Incentive Program established by the HITECH Act. This financial support is aimed at promoting the meaningful use of Electronic Health Records (EHRs), enhancing healthcare quality and efficiency. California anticipates receiving approximately $1.4 billion in Medicaid incentive funds, contingent upon all eligible hospitals and providers applying for and successfully obtaining these incentives.
