  8. cretinism • พบในเด็กที่ขาด thyroxin ร่างกายเตี้ยแคระ แขนขาสั้น การเจริญเติบโตช้ากว่าปกติ ปัญญาอ่อน

  9. myxedema • ในผู้ใหญ่ การขาด thyroxin ร่างกายอ่อนแอ หัวใจโต น้ำหนักเพิ่ม ติดเชื้อง่าย ซึม เฉื่อยขา ความจำเสื่อม
