Stem-Changers . (e- ie ). What is a stem-changer?. There are NO stem-changers in the present tense of English! In Spanish, some verbs have a stem-change but… Their regular – ar , - ir , - er endings stay the same.

  2. What is a stem-changer? • There are NO stem-changers in the present tense of English! • In Spanish, some verbs have a stem-change but… • Their regular –ar, -ir, -er endings stay the same. • Stem-changers will change in ALL of their forms except the nosotros and the vosotros!

  3. What happens with a stem-changer? • E to IE stem-changers = the e in the stem will change to ie. • Querer = quiero (yo form) • Here are all of the forms. Quieroqueremos Quieresqueréis Quierequieren
