  2. The West Bank • 5,853 square km. • Population = Just over 2.5 million people (all Palestinian EXCEPT for approximately 350,000 Jewish settlers

  3. The Gaza Strip • Size = 360 sq. miles 24 miles long, 10-12 miles wide • One of most densely populated areas in the world • Population: 1.5 million (majority refugees) All Palestinian • Over 80% live in poverty • Average age of population = 16
