This lesson aims to explore the concepts of duration and pitch in music. Students will learn to identify and annotate various musical notes and rests, including whole, half, quarter, eighth, and sixteenth notes and rests. They will engage in fun activities, such as drawing notes in their journals and participating in a pitch recognition exercise where they will use gestures to indicate whether pitches are higher, lower, or the same.
