  2. Habitat • Arctic Hares live on a tundra or rocky mountain. • They live in Northern Canada, parts of Greenland, and Alaska.

  3. Predators • Their main predator are wolfs but, polar bears, arctic foxes, ermines, falcons, and eagles also like to hunt them.

  4. Diet • Winter: woody plants, mosses, and lichens. • Summer: buds, berries, leaves, roots, and bark.

  5. Adaptations • They have long and strong claws on the front of their feet. • In the winter their fur turns white as camouflage. • They move at speeds of 64 km, per an hour. • When they are alarmed they rise up on their hind feet to look for danger.

  6. Why are they endangered? • They are endangered because of habitat loss and climate change.

  7. How can we help them? • You can go on the WWF website and adopt them. • You can donate money to organizations that can help them. • Go green.

  8. Fun Facts • Did you that the arctic hare have black eyelashes that protect their eyes from the sun. • They have big black feet that act like snow boots. • Did you know that they have white fur in the winter and brown or black fur in the summer.
