  2. Overview Statement • God has provided human kind all the resources they need to carry out the creation mandate. People have a right to own and steward their property whether it is internal or external to the individual.

  3. Introductory Questions • Who ultimately owns everything? • God has provided human beings the resources they need to develop their communities and nations. What are some of the: • Internal resources (capital) you have been given steward? • External resources you have been given to steward?

  4. Post Video Discussion • What is the opposite – antithesis - of this principle? • On a scale moving from 1-10 with 1 being the opposite of this principle and 10 being the perfect application of this principle, where does your nation fall. • Give illustrations or stories to demonstrate your answer. These can be for the principle or the antithesis as you have observed it.

  5. Discovery Scripture • Read • Set # 1: Exodus 20: 15, 17; 1 Samuel 12:3; 1 Thes. 2:5 • Set # 2: Deut 5: 19, 21; Prov. 15:27; Acts 20:33 • Questions: • What do these two commandments say? • What are their implications?

  6. Discovery Scripture • Read • Set # 1: Luke 19: 12-13, 15; Psalm 8: 4-6; Genesis 1: 29; 1 Corinth 12: 4-7; Exodus 4: 2, 17, 20 • Set # 2: Matt 25: 14-19; Psalm 139: 13-14; Psalm 104: 14; Romans 12: 6-8; 1 Corinth. 1: 27-28 • Questions • How did Christ equip his servants? • What did he expect his disciples to do with the resources that he gave them? • Normally we think of property as merely material things like a house, a motor bike, or dollars. We need to think “outside” the materialist box. What great variety of resources does God provide (think both internal and external resources)? Do not think in terms of what you need – need based development, NBD; think in terms of what you have – asset based development, ABD.
