Five facts • An improvised carbon dioxide scrubber was built to avoid being poisoned to death by polluted air. • Fred Haise’s nickname was Freddo. • Jim Lovell had 4 kids. • The three astronauts that went on that mission were actually supposed to fly Apollo 14. • Aquarius was the name of the Apollo 13 command module.
