  3. Regionally Based Monitoring • Regional programs monitor through: • Self-assessment or self-certification • Audit • Investigation • Regions report violations to NERC • NERC posts quarterly and annual performance reports

  4. 2004 Program Results • 318 violations reported • Down from 360 in 2003 • Compliance improved • From 95% in 2003 to 96% in 2004 • Excludes event-based violations
