Description of Field Experience • 3-week duration • Study themes • Community-based care to children in Malawi • Health education to children, staff, citizens • Community Health Assessment • Examine the impact of health determinants such as culture, socio-economic status • Learn about the health system in Malawi • Classroom instruction and field experiences • 3 credit course (letter grade) • 1 credit prep course in spring

  15. Earn 3 credits for N302: Introduction to Systematic Investigation You will complete your research-related assignments with the supervision of a School Researcher in one of three areas: • Nursing and Midwifery History • Protection of Older Persons • Professional Nursing Practice

Learning Outcomes • Describe the primary types of research methodologies • Outline the key philosophies underpinning the aforementioned methodologies • Differentiate between the different types of sampling, data collection and data analysis research methods • Discuss the application of different research method across studies • Read and critically analyze published evidence for best nursing practice • Contribute to an active research project
