  3. Godly husbands take the lead. (Ephesians 5:22-23) Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. (NKJV)

  4. Godly husbands take the lead. (1 Timothy 3:5) (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); (NKJV)

  5. Godly husbands take the lead. (Proverbs 13:24) He who spares his rod hates his son, But he who loves him disciplines him promptly. (NKJV) (Hebrews 12:9) Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? (NKJV)

(NKJV) (1 Corinthians 6:9) Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (KJV)

  12. Godly husbands love their wives & children. (Ephesians 5:25-29) Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. (NKJV)

  14. Godly husbands respect their wives. 1 Cor. 13:5 (love…) “does not behave rudely, does not seek its own,” (Colossians 3:19) Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them. (NKJV)

  15. Godly husbands respect their wives. (Ephesians 4:32) And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you. (NKJV) (James 3:5-6) Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. (NKJV)

  16. Godly husbands respect their wives. (1 Peter 3:7) Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered. (NKJV)

(1 Timothy 5:8) But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
