Course details • Cross-listing of: • MIS-4399: Issues in Information Systems • MIS-5399: Special Issues in Information Systems • Main topic • Business process redesign • Pre-requisites • For undergraduate students: MIS3310 (may be waived) • No pre-requisites for graduate students • All students must be 18 or older

  3. Cultural immersion activities • IBMEC students and local managers will participate in at least 1 book chapter-based discussion with TAMIU students - conducted at IBMEC facilities • Visit to the Institute for Space Research (INPE) in Sao Jose dos Campos (a city located approximate 1 hour north of Sao Paulo) - will receive a tour of INPE’s satellite-based image processing facilities • Visit 2 organizations in Sao Paulo (one manufacturing plant and one financial firm) - will receive a tour of their information technology facilities

  4. Estimated cost • $2,500 – which includes: • Airfare • Health insurance • Accommodations • Ground transportation • Welcome and farewell dinners • Field trips, including a visit to the Institute for Space Research (INPE)
