14RPT02 AWICal Project goals • Development of calibration methods and measurement uncertainty evaluation models for different groups of AWIs, which operate in a dynamic mode. • Increase of expertise among EURAMET members in the provision of reliable traceability of automatic weighing instruments
AWIs taken into account • Automatic Catchweighers (ACI) • Automatic Gravimetric Filling Instruments (AGFI) • Automatic Instruments for Weighing Road Vehicles in Motion (WIM)
Work Package 1 • Development of calibration methods, uncertainty budgets and calibration guides • Activity leaders: MIRS for ACI, GUM for WIM, UME for AGFI • Deadlines: • Calibration methods: May 2016 • Uncertainty budgets: August 2016 • Draft calibration guides (ready for further procedure within EURAMET): February 2018
Work Package 2 • Validation of calibration methods and uncertainty budget • Activity leaders: PTB for ACI, CMI for WIM, UME for AGFI • Time schedule: • Validation of methods and uncertainty budget:May 2016 – March 2017 • Interlaboratory comparison: Dec 2016 - Sep 2017 • In cooperation with collaborators from industry.
Work Package 3 • Harmonization of expertise (training, exchange of expertise) • Development of partners’ strategies in the field of AWI: • research capability, • provision of traceability • WP leader: IMBiH
Work package 4: Crating impact • Stakeholder Committee • Collaborators • Web pagewww.awical.eu • National forums • Workshops • AWI Calibration guide(s) • New calibration services • Publications and papers
Partners • MIRS (SI), CMI (CZ), GUM (PL), PTB (DE), BEV (AT), METROSERT (EE), UME (TR), IMBIH (BA), DMDM (RS), MT Garvens (producer) Stakeholders • Industry - users of AWI • Producers of AWIs, CECIP • Calibration laboratories, Accreditation • NMI/DIs, EURAMET • Legal Metrology Authorities and Bodies, WELMEC
Timeline • Project started: June 2015 • Project ends: May 2018 • Duration: 3 Years Coordinator Matej Grum, MIRS matej.grum@gov.si
