  3. What is the internal grant program? Faculty seeking funding for scholarly and/or development activities associated with TCSPP may apply for funds from several sources. In addition to departmental and outside-grant funding, the Faculty Development and Promotion Committee allocates funds from a “small-grant” and a “complex and/or international (C&I) grant” pool.

Small Grant Awards • To support faculty pursuing the following scholarship/development activities • Start-up or continuing scholarship projects • Conference presentations • Conference and/or workshop attendance to improve faculty development, pedagogy, and scholarship • Faculty-sponsored student scholarship • Small Grant Awards are allocated based on priority

  6. Large Grant Awards To support faculty pursuing the following: Multi-site scholarship projects Multi-disciplinary scholarship projects Multi-year scholarship projects “Seed-money” projects International start-up projects Large Grant Funds are NOT allocated according to priorities 6

  7. Campus Allocations: Chicago Faculty Development: $5,000 fund available for small grant awards for unanticipated needs outside of department funding Scholarship: $25,000 fund available for complex, multi-year, and multidisciplinary projects outside of grant and department funding. 7

Campus Allocations: Los Angeles Faculty Development: $3,000 fund available for small grant awards for unanticipated needs outside of department funding Scholarship: $10,000 fund available for complex, multi-year, and multidisciplinary projects outside of grant and department funding. This grant is also available to Institutional Committees, Centers, or Institutes 8

Campus Faculty Development: $1,000 fund available for small grant awards for unanticipated needs outside of department funding Scholarship: $5,000 fund available for complex, multi-year, and multidisciplinary projects outside of grant and department funding. This grant is also available to Institutional Committees, Centers, or Institutes 9

Campus Allocations: Online Campus Faculty Development: $1,000 fund available for small grant awards for unanticipated needs outside of department funding Scholarship: $5,000 fund available for complex, multi-year, and multidisciplinary projects outside of grant and department funding. Scholarship funding is handled by Faculty Development and Promotions Committee (FDPC) small grants and/or FDPC complex and international (C&I) grants Gives priority to those projects that lead to new knowledge that informs the applied practice of professional psychology Development funding is handled by the Department and by FDPC small grants. Scholarship and Development

  12. Deadlines and Grant Cycles Deadlines: November 15 (Grant Cycle One) * March 15 (Grant Cycle Two) * *of the academic year during which the funds initially will be used. 12

  13. Grant Distribution Grant is distributed by separate check from the Accounting Department Money is tax free and equivalent to the entire award allocated by FDPC Check is mailed to individual
