Depression What is Depression? Depression is a mood disorder wherein there are persistent feelings of sadness and loss of interest in the activities. Reasons for depression can range from loss of a job to someone close to you. It can be an ongoing problem, and the episodes of such feelings can last for over two weeks in a row or even longer in some cases.
