  2. Classic Rock The product is promoted to create awareness. (traditional rhythm and blues music) For example more innovative products are introduced or consumer tastes have changed. (decrease in popularity in mainstream music since 2010) At this point the market reaches saturation. (combination of R&B style and hip hop rhythms was termed new jack swing) Competitors are attracted into the market with very similar offerings. (Pop & Hip Hop Music)
