Basketball Court &Rollerblade Pad The purpose of this presentation is to provide the Community with an update from Falcon Engineering and Hillcrest Paving. All information contained herein is directly from the aforementioned parties. **Photo prior to construction.
The Construction Sequence • Initial installation of silt fence, construction fence, and construction driveway entrance has been completed. • Removal of the existing courts and all appurtenances (i.e. nets, asphalt curb, benches, etc.) have been completed. • Installation of new 4” sub grade (DGA) and 4” base course (HMA Mix I-2) has been completed.
Prior to major construction: • This photo shows the courts prior to major construction. Pay special note to the installation of the silt (black) and construction (orange) fences.
Keeping the common area intact: • The above photo depicts a construction driveway which was installed to preserve the parking lot, walkways and irrigation systems.
Major Construction Begins • The photo adjacent this caption shows the removal of the asphalt curb. • This photo displays the installation of DGA with the paver machine using laser leveling for the proper cross slope.
Major construction continues: • Hillcrest Paving is using vibratory rollers to compact the DGA. This is the final grading of the courts.
Paving commences: Above observe the tandem truck dumping asphalt into the hopper of the paver. Additionally, view the crew using laser leveling to achieve the proper grades of the courts.
The current status: • The base pavement on the court is complete. The crews must wait for the asphalt to cure. This will take a minimum of two weeks.
What are the contractors working on now? • The Hillcrest Paving crew and Falcon Engineering Project Manager are currently working on finishing the installation of the drainage system.
