YARN BANKS Presently in two places • Rangia in Kamrup district and Digheli in Nalbari district • Used by 200 weavers • Easy availability of various types of quality yarn. • Credit facilities for yarn. • Situated in the village vicinity. • Availability of Yarn at wholesale rate price • Introduction of Warping drum and jacquard machine.

LIVELIHOOD PROJECT – MUSTARD PRESSING MACHINE • Recently 2500 USD has been given in Garamsung village as Revolving Fund for mustard pressing machine • About 1000 farmer HH in the area grow mustard in the winter season and are dependant on the crop • Due to a shortage of mustard pressing machines in the area, the machine will help boost livelihood • The machine is operated by paddy husk which is easily available

  10. RGVN’s Contribution • Mandays spent :At least 5 - 7 days a month by personnel • Inclusion under RGVN’s other programmes • Financial literacy programmes for the community
