  3. Reasons of such scenario on Indian Roads • Lack of organized Road Safety Education in the system. • Improper attitude, behavior & lack of responsibility by road users on the road. ( I own the road ) • Lack of knowledge about driving discipline & safe driving skills • Lack of proper monitoring system of Traffic Discipline by concerned authorities. • Lack of knowledge & awareness about rules & regulations among people Give a little time to Road Safety & get a lifetime of existence.

  4. Objective The objective is to reduce road accidents, save human lives and preserve revenue of the country by imparting systematic Driver Training and Road Safety Education to commercial & private vehicle drivers. If you can’t SAVE, don’t KILL

Target • Impart defensive driving training to commercial drivers • Create road safety awareness among citizens to make them • more responsible ROAD USERS (self driving) • Train the Trainers- Driving School Instructors • PRODUCE Road Safety Experts by Education • Refresher Training for Traffic Managers: • Traffic Police • Traffic Brigade • Traffic Wardens Drive With Knowledge

Defensive Driving Training for Commercial Drivers • Why ? • Untrained in most cases • Less educated & wrong attitude • Trained by “ustad” and not by professional trainer • Lack of knowledge of Traffic Rules & Regulations • Poor standard of living – Lack of motivation Wrong Attitude, Wrong Decision

Defensive Driving Training for Commercial Drivers • How? • Design a detailed syllabus ( ready with us) • Decide a time gap for refresher training • Examine skills at every renewal of license • Involve Transport Associations NGO’s & • other institutes to conduct such sessions Knowledge improves Skill

Defensive Driving Training for Private Vehicle Drivers • How? • Design a syllabus covering important topics ( ready with us) • Decide a time gap for refresher training • Involve corporate companies, NGO’s, Clubs, Associations, Religious groups to conduct road safety trainings for their employees and members. Having a license doesn’t make you an intelligent driver

Training of Trainers- Driving School Instructors • Why ? • No standard syllabus to train the trainers in India • Government have not put any effort to develop their skills • Trainers have developed their training skill of their own • Most trainers are less educated- poor communication skill • Most trainers are lacking at the knowledge on latest technical • development in vehicles/automobiles • Lack of the absolute knowledge about Traffic Rules & Regulations Safety can be Taught

Educate Students – Save future • How ? • Introduce Traffic Education in school curriculum • standard 6th to 9th ( syllabus ready with us) • standard 10th to 12th ( syllabus ready with us) • Diploma in Road Safety • Graduation in Road Safety • Post Graduation in Traffic Safety & Road Engineering • MBA in Traffic & Fleet Management • Government may introduce special scholarship for such • courses to motivate students Let’s plan for future

Long Term Impact of the concept • Learned Driving shall reduce a problem called “Driver Fatigue” • and thus reduce number of road accidents. • TRAFFIC CONJUCTIONS can be reduced. • Systematic knowledge on vehicular maintenance shall bring • better fuel economy and thus shall help the economy of the • country in long run. • Well maintained vehicle shall reduce the polluted vehicular • smoke and thus improve the fresh air quality. • By understanding the VALUE of their job in developing ROAD SAFETY by Traffic Managers, the scenario on India Roads shall look different in coming time. Road Safety is a field, which is to be ploughed, Sooner or Later, So, Why not Now?

  16. Long Term Impact of the concept • If parents use road by following rules and respect other road users, children shall also follow act of their parents. Thus, ROAD SAFETY can be brought as a CULTURE in day to day life. • Reduced number in road accidents shall save revenue • for country and thus “money saved is money earned” • formula shall be possible. • Qualified students can have a career in Road Safety • and thus they shall help the nation • A string of Safe & Knowledgeable people on Indian • roads shall surely be a positive support to the growth • of the country.
