  2. What the JPM.JO is all ABOUT? Oct. 2008 Sept. 2009 • The “Jordanian Parliament Monitor” is an independent non-partisan project, started on Oct. 2008, by the AL-Quds Center for Political Studies in cooperation with “National Democratic Institute for international Affairs NDI“

  3. JPM.jo Objectives • Improving the Parliamentary performance to be in line with the best international democratic practices • Promoting transparency and Accountability • Informing the public on the Parliament performance by providing a free access to information on the Parliament. • Enhance and enroot the partnership between the Parliament and civil society organizations, through launching mechanisms of interaction, consultation and dialogue.

JPM.jo Why it is important? • First and foremost the Parliament is one of the two pillars for a royal parliamentary system in Jordan • Because the Jordanian Parliament Role is still very weak, the project's findings, reports and methodology will serve as an advocacy toll towards electoral reform as part of political reform and democracy promotion.
