  3. Henry Tudor(from the Lancasters), Earl of Pembroke, later Henry VII. Through his thirteen-year-old mother, Margaret Beaufort, he was a descendant of Edward III. On January 18, 1486 he married Elizabeth of York, eldest daughter of Edward IV. In 1487 Henry defeated the last Yorkists at the battle of Stoke. Henry had several children most of whom died young.  After his death on April 21, 1509 his son Henry VIII succeeded him.
