  7. A BRIEF HISTORY Let’s start with a little background Who? ENERGY STAR began as a joint program of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) & Department of Energy (DOE) What? The voluntary labeling program was designed to identify and promote energy-efficient products, and over time, practices Why? The program is designed to help us all save money and protect the environment through energy-efficient products and practices

  11. ENTER NORTHWEST ENERGY STAR HOMES… THE NORTHWEST ENERGY STAR HOMES PROGRAM Encouraging the construction of homes to ENERGY STAR standards specifically designed for the Northwest. It has been operating as a four-state regional initiative in Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washingtonsince 2005.

NORTHWEST ENERGY STAR HOMES Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) is a non-profit organization using the market power of the region to accelerate the innovation and adoption of energy-efficient products, services and practices.
