  3. Direction and Protection • We can trust God’s Word to guide us • His Word will not cause us to stumble • His Word will make our path clear • His Word will illuminate the pitfalls

  4. Psalm 119:11King James Version (KJV) 11Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

  5. Caution and Correction • God’s Word will keep us from sin if we hide it in our hearts • The Holy Spirit will bring to mind God’s Word when we are tempted to sin • God’s Word will strengthen us

  6. Home Study • Study Psalm 119 and count the number of times “Thy Word” is used • List the benefits of God’s Word in your own words

  11. Life Application • Spend time in God’s Word • Ask the Holy Spirit to cause God’s Word to take root in you • Ask the Holy Spirit to bring God’s Word to your remembrance in time(s) of need • Walk in authority quoting God’s Word for encouragement • Pray God’s Word and you will never be the same
