Balance of Forces

This text explores the principle of balanced forces during various flight conditions. In unaccelerated flight, all forces are equal and opposite: lift equals weight, and thrust matches drag. In forward flight, thrust surpasses drag while lift and weight remain constant. During ascending flight, lift exceeds weight, maintaining equal thrust and drag. Conversely, in descending flight, lift is less than weight with constant thrust and drag. This information is vital for understanding flight dynamics and performance in aviation.
