  1. Cell/Prison Analogy By, Timmy Walsh

  2. Cell Membrane/Guards The Guards are like the cell membrane in the way that they control what goes in and what comes out of the prison just like the cell membrane controls goes in and out of the cell. This organelle is found in both the plant and animal cell.

  3. Cytoplasm/Prison Yard The prison yard is the open space in which everything is found similar to the cytoplasm the liquid substance surrounding all of the organelles in the cell. This organelle is found in both the plant and animal cell.

  4. Nucleus/Warden The warden controls the prison, telling the guards what to do; similar to how the nucleus manages the cell and tells it what to do. This organelle is found in both the plant and animal cell.

  5. E.R/Prison Hospital The prisoners go the prison hospital to get better, like the proteins go through the E.R. to get polished up. This organelle is found in both the plant and animal cell.

  6. Ribosomes/Prisoners The prisoners are forced to make things like license plates, similarly the ribosomes make proteins. This organelle is found in the animal cell.

  7. Nucleolus/Police Officers The police officers arrest the criminals and put them in prison making them prisoners, a similar process takes place in the nucleolus only the nucleolus is making ribosomes instead of prisoners. This organelle is found in both the plant and animal cell.

  8. Mitochondria/Prison Generator The prison generator makes electricity for the prison just like the mitochondrion make energy for the cell. This organelle is found in both the plant and animal cell.

  9. Golgi Body/Cell The Cell holds a prisoner like the golgi body packages the proteins. This organelle is found in both the plant and animal cell.

  10. Vacuole/Holding Cells The holding cells hold the offenders until their court case where their bail is set or they’re put in prison; this is like the vacuoles temporary storage of materials inside the cell. This organelle is found in both the plant and animal cell.
