Proposed CER Education/Training/WFD Assessment Project • Initial focus: a review of existing training programs to learn of their CER content in order to inform our work on competencies and curricula • Sample Population: junior faculty and post-doctoral fellows training programs • Target audience: CER-KFC representative of each institution will be asked for information. Encouraged to discuss questions with the director of education and/or the PI.

  12. May coordinate this activity with the activities of SGC-2 and their relevant key function committees; they may be proceeding with more in depth valuation of translational curricula. • It is unavoidable that we need to start with a sketch of competencies in CER. • We will map these competencies onto the national Clinical and Translational Research Competencies of the CTSA. We hope that this mapping process will stress that we do not think that CER training as being outside of the scope of CTSA – it should be an integral part of translational training for most investigators.
