  1. Invention Of Ballpoint Pens The concept of ballpoint styles was first developed by an American John Loud in 1888. He was a tanner by profession who wanted to write on leather. For this, he devised a ballpoint pen which worked well on leather but not on paper. Later, other patents tried their luck to establish their concepts but no one was successful. After a lot of trials and errors, Laszlo Biro with his brother, in 1943, created the ideal ballpoint pens.

  2. How Laszlo Biro Invented Ballpoint Pens Laszlo Biro was born on 29 September 1899 in Budapest, Austria-Hungary. He developed an optimal ballpoint pen with his brother Gyorgy's help which started to spread worldwide. They produced a new tip, which consisted of a ball, which could be turned in a socket and when turned it would take ink from a cartridge and later roll it onto the paper.

  3. Benefits & Uses of Ballpoint Pens Ballpoint pens are also known as ball pens or Biro. They have a small rotating steel ball at the end that spreads the ink on the paper. They allow frictionless fast writing and the ink dries quickly. Artists can make sharp lines with them, which can not be made with a paintbrush. School and college students also prefer to write their exams with personalized ballpoint pens. Ballpoint pens are made in models that can be disposed of as well as refilled.

  4. Ballpoint Pens For Advertising Promoters use ballpoint pens for marketing programs. They are used to highlight the brand name printed on them. Printed pens offer excellent opportunities to strengthen the message of a company and serve its prospective clients and customers for a long time. They also establish the online presence of the brand which leads to higher sales.
