  3. Coursework. Observation study. 40% Introduction to child. Research based on chosen set task. 4 visits over 4 months.( 2 linked to set task) 1 final evaluation. • Research task. 20% 7 hours of supervised time. Research from various sources- primary and secondary. ( more marks for primary)- produce a powerpoint a leaflet

  4. What makes up the marks? Final mark = 40% observation study. +20% research task. +40% exam. Exam = 1 ½ hour exam- 6-8 questions.

  5. Classwork topics. • Parenthood. • Pregnancy Conception. Antenatal care. Birth. • Care of child- cleaning - feeding - • Development. (PIES) Physical. Intellectual Emotional and social. • Support for the parent and the child.
