  4. Organize into Committees Executive Loan Review Committee Finance / Audit / Compliance Marketing and Outreach

Define Internal and External Expectations for Board Partnerships • Board and Chair, Board and Organization, Board and Outside Partners • Review Governance Manual for definition of roles of Officers, Staff, and others • Have individual Board members identify their professional and community connections that can benefit the organization across the key factors

  6. Examples: Marketing : Contacts within the industry, experience developing Marketing Plan, media contacts, press releases, web page, etc Legislative – Connections with elected officials at federal, state and local level, lobbyists, Vendor – Association memberships, lobbying Consumer – CIL, Aging, medical community Legal perspectives – contracts, agreements, etc • ,

  7. Fundraising Responsibilities • Individual Board member donations • Active participation in fundraising development with staff • Defined Role of the Executive Director • Recruit Board members willing to pursue development

  8. Fundraising Responsibilities • Establish fundraising policies and procedures to which support and complement the strategic plan
