South Yorkshire Police - Structured Interview • Purpose (Weltenschauung) • The purpose of the South Yorkshire Police Neighbourhood Watch website is to provide easy access to information about local crime and related issues. • Owner • For the purposes of the iSAC6+ project the process is owned by Chief Inspector Ian Chorlton of South Yorkshire Police. • Customers • The recipients or customers for the service are citizens and business within each Neighbourhood Watch area. There are 350,000 citizens in the South Yorkshire region, with about 100,000 covered by the Neighbourhood watch scheme. • Actors • Participants are Neighbourhood Watch Scheme Co-ordinators, South Yorkshire Police personnel. • Transformation – Step 2 • Environment • No public access or system links to Police computer systems • Impact is judged on a range of hard and soft measures (Hard – crime prevention outcomes, Soft- raised citizen confidence in police • Wide range in type of community and their relationship with police • South Yorkshire region includes several dialects and languages with different usage of words and terms
